Whiskeys on tasting at this year's event will include:

Kilbeggan Whiskey

Kilbeggan is a unique Irish Whiskey. Like most Irish people, Kilbeggan is easy going and approachable, but with its own distinctive style. The finest grain and malt whiskeys are blended together for a smooth, sweet taste and lovely malt finish, a characteristic of our pot still that is over 180 year old and still at the heart of Kilbeggan Irish whiskey.

Kilbeggan 8 Year Old

Kilbeggan 8year old is a light and soft single grain whiskey that is made from white corn at the Cooley Distillery in County Louth. This used to be known as Greenore and is very popular with drinkers looking for something easy going, delicate and smooth. Rich, soft oils, melt-in-the-mouth grain and just a hint of barley for good measure. Crisp finish as the oak returns.

Connemara is a unique Irish single malt and is currently the only peated whiskey made in Ireland. Since it was released in the late 1990's it has won over many fans of peated Scotch whiskies such as Laphroaig and Ardbeg. Yet Connemara has a definite Irish character with some really nice sweet honey, creamy and fruity characters that help balance out the peat smoke

Connemara 12 Year Old

The 12 year old edition of Connemara has a full, rounded and complex flavour that is both smooth and smoky at the same time. The peat smoke is well integrated and is perhaps a little less pronounced than with the standard bottling . Only limited amounts of Connemara 12 Year Old are made each year and it is restricted to selected markets.

Connemara 22 Year Old

A great addition to the Connemara range. This 22 year old has been drawn from some of the oldest barrels laying at the distillery and has been matured exclusively in 1st fill ex-bourbon barrels. This in non-chilfiltered and has not been coloured. Light peat smoke with some vibrant fruit characters: orange peel, pear drops and pineapple. Some nice woody touches that are in harmony with the smoke

Tyrconnell is the name given to Kilbeggan Distilling Company's unpeated single malt whiskey. This is the standard bottling which is aged for nearly 8 years but will typically have some older whiskey included in the vatting. Flavours of fresh fruit salad with hints of ripe green apples and vanilla and a little sweetness on the finish

Tyrconnell 10 Year Old Madeira

Rich golden amber colour. Intriguing aromas of pear, cashew , ginger, and Asian spices. A rich, powerful entry leads to a vibrant dry-yet-fruity medium-full body of crystallized ginger, toffee, toasted buttered almond bread, dried tropical fruits and peppery spices. Finishes with a long fruit and spice driven fade with layers of racy, warming alcohol. An exotic, powerhouse of a whiskey that needs a touch of water to tame and treasure

Tyrconnell 10 Year Old Sherry

Many other Irish Whiskey expressions now have sherry finished versions but Tyrconnells 10 Year Old Single Malt was one of the first. This is creamy malt with sherry sweetness making it very mellowA delicate nose but the fruit and wood from the Sherry Casks dominate. Spicy malt is to the fore on the palate but with a sweet fruity overtone from the sherry. A medium finish with lingering sherry and oak.
