Based in Donegal, Sliabh Liag Distillers are bringing the almost-forgotten smoky style of Irish whiskey back into the modern spirits world through The Legendary Silkie Irish Whiskey range. Named after the mythical seal-people of Irish folklore, the Silkie range reflects transformation, mystery and coastal heritage - echoing the stories of the Sliabh Liag peninsula. Founded by James and Moira Doherty, the distillery is rooted in a vision to revive Donegal’s lost distilling tradition while exploring the rich possibilities of smoky, coastal-influenced Irish whiskey. Each expression is carefully sourced and blended to take drinkers on a journey through varying degrees of smoke, depth and maritime character.
