The brand’s fictional namesake, Shanky, is a bit of a legend - a man who loved Irish whiskey but didn’t love the burn. He wanted something smoother, sweeter and a little different, so he created his own twist: a spirit blending the warmth of whiskey with rich notes of vanilla, cream and caramel. And the ostrich on the label? Pure Shanky - when told he couldn’t ride a horse in a derby, he showed up on an ostrich instead. It’s weird. It’s wonderful. It perfectly captures the humour and individuality behind the brand.
