The Great Northern Distillery is located beneath the Cooley Mountains in Dundalk, an area with deep roots in Irish distilling history dating back to the late 1600s. As an Irish-owned producer, it continues this heritage from the heart of one of Ireland’s most important whiskey regions.

The distillery has played a key role in the Irish whiskey renaissance since the 1980s. Its vision is to supply both mature and new-make malt, pot still, grain, and blended whiskey to customers creating their own Irish whiskey brands, supporting innovation across the global spirits industry.
