About Ahascragh Distillery
Founded by Gareth and Michelle McAllister, Ahascragh Distillery will be a world-class whiskey
and gin experience in the West of Ireland.
The project will see the transformation of the old Ahascragh Mills into a working craft
distillery and visitor centre in Co Galway. The mill dates to the early 1800s and up until the
1950s processed grain into flour. The McAllisters are giving the building a new lease of life.
This eco-distillery will be powered by renewable energy with a drive to be carbon neutral.
The visitor centre will be a unique experience, showcasing the history of the old mill and the
future of the Ahascragh spirit.
While waiting for the first drop of our spirits, the company begin their journey with the
Family Bond series of hand-selected releases. Clan Colla Irish Whiskey, Xin Gin and UAIS Irish
Whiskey are available to purchase now. These special releases, although not distilled in
Ahascragh, are partly matured, finished, and blended by us and bottled in the village.
