Born in Scotland, Raised in Jerez. Nomad Outland Whisky breaks the standard rules of the whisky world. Normally sherry butts are sent to the Scottish distilleries for ageing. Why not do it the other way round? What if, instead of sending the butts to Scotland, we were to send the whisky to Jerez? Created and aged at first in Scotland, Nomad Outland Whisky journeys from its cold climate place of birth to the hot plains on Andalusia to complete its ageing in butts that have previously been used for ageing Pedro Ximenez. It is here, in the unique atmosphere of the historic Gonzalez Byass cellars in Jerez that the whisky becomes imbued with the very special features of the region’s microclimate. Scottish with a Jerezano soul.
