About the Brand
The Achill Island Distillery (Drioglann Oileán Acla) is located on Achill Island, off the rugged Atlantic coast of Galway and Mayo, and proudly holds the distinction of being Ireland’s only island-based whiskey distillery.
Founded in 2019 under the guidance of the Irish American Trading Company, the distillery was designed by master distiller David Hynes of Great Northern Distillery and supported through significant regional investment and development.
With a focus on innovation and maritime character, the distillery is developing a diverse whiskey range spanning single malt, pot still, peated expressions and cask-finished releases.
