Tamdhu was founded in 1897 and has always been hard to find in single malt form. Most of the production goes into blends such as Famous Grouse, J&B and Cutty Sark. There are six stills and it has a maximum capacity of 4.5 million litres per year. The distillery is in Aberlour in the heart of Speyside.
Now owned by Ian Macleod distillers who will hopefully release some interesting bottings.
